The Gear6 Web Cache Universal Distribution is a 100% Memcached-compliant implementation with advanced features designed to maximize the performance and value of Memcached web caching. Gear6 Web Cache runs on industry-standard hardware, enabling you to leverage your existing IT infrastructure and gain the maximum benefit of Memcached web caching.
Minimum hardware requirements, regardless of platform, include:
- Processor: 64-bit x86 architecture
- DRAM: minumum 8 Gbtes, recommended 32 Gbytes or more
- IDE/SATA hard drive storage: minimum 80 Gbytes, recommended 160 Gbytes or more
- Onboard NICs: minimum one 1 GbE NIC, recommended two or more 1 GbE NICs
- Flash/SSD: Optional. Contact
